Thanks to its strategic location, a wide variety of goods and services find their way to the island from different countries of Europe. You might even be surprised to stumble upon an item that you have not been able to find in shops in the EU.

What’s more, because of the low import duties, you can buy items such as alcohol, tobacco, perfumes, cameras and electronic goods at much cheaper prices in Las Palmas and other shopping centers south of the coast.

Tip: Buy your grocery items like toiletries, soda, snack foods, and mineral water in a supermarket where their prices would be lower.

The best shopping centers are located in the Triana district of Las Palmas. These would probably be a short walking distance from your Gran Canaria.
