Las Teresitas was a typical black sand beach common throughout the northern part of Tenerife until 1973 when it was transformed into the golden beauty it is today.
As well, a reef was constructed as a breakwater to prevent loss of sand, and palm tress were planted along the newly installed boardwalk.
Over one kilometre long (1,250m by 70m), this windy beach nevertheless enjoys calm waters.
Services: docking area, lifeguards with Red Cross station, local police patrols, children's park, showers, toilets, hammocks, equipment rentals for water sports, baths, parking, telephones and public transportation.
