BEACHES OF TENERIFE - TACORONTE

The following is a selection of the main beaches in the Municipality of Tacoronte.

In an untouched part of the coast in the Tacoronte borough, its isolation makes it good for nude bathing; accessible on foot only.

El Pris Top

Shore: medium grain black sand & stones

The fishing village and refuge of El Pris lies amidst little rocky islands that protect this beach of medium grain black sand and stones; 120m long by 15m.

Strong wave action.

Services: boardwalk, danger warnings, umbrellas, hammocks, telephones and public transportation.
El Rincón Top

La Arena Top

Located in the small tourism enclave of Tacoronte de Mesa del Mar, this is one of the most pleasant places for bathing on this coast since it's protected from the currents while maintaining moderate waves.

Coarse black sand and gravel; 330m long by 39m.

Services: full facilities include accommodations (apartments and camping), restaurants, boardwalk, baths, showers, toilets, hammocks, parking and public transportation.
La Garañona Top

Extending more than a kilometre (1,240m by 10m wide) along the untouched coasts of Sauzal and Tacoronte boroughs, its seclusion has made it a nudist beach.

As well, it is frequented by hang gliders who, on good days, take advantage of the winds to launch themselves from the cliff to the beach below.

Fine black sand with strong waves that make it extremely dangerous.
