Boroughs of Tenerife: ARONA
The borough of Arona is located in the south-east of Tenerife at the Punta de la Rasca, the southern most extreme which has the least annual precipitation of the island.

It has a broad coastal area that runs from Américas Beach and Los Cristianos to the Silencio coast.

The tourist industry and its parallel activities have become the motor of the local economy, which has made it one of the most densely populated boroughs on Tenerife.

Los Cristianos nicely balances tourism with its harbour duties, in particular its connection to La Gomera and its small fishing tradition.

Visitors cannot go to Arona without seeing the Cristo de Arona Church.
