Boroughs of Tenerife: LA GUANCHA
La Guancha rises from the sea to the summit where it reaches the slopes of the Teide.

Its hills of pines, firetrees (myrica faya), heath and wild orange trees and above all its rural customs form part of this area's wealth.
Among the popular traditions, the handicrafts are worth mentioning, above all the ceramics of the main pottery, El Farrobo, as well as the embroidery and basketry that have been promoted by the Taller de Artesania (Handicraft Worshop).

Recommended sties include the Dulce Nombre de Jesus Church, the historic centre of Santa Catalina neighbourhood, and the Crafts House (Casa de Artesanía).
