In El Sauzal borough, La Baranda is a 17th Century estate house now owned by the Tenerife town council and used to promote quality wines of the island as well as being home to the Museum of Vine and Wine; contains a hall for projections and exhibits, restaurant and bar and an old wine vat in the central patio.

El Museo etnográfico Pinolere, promovido por la Asociación Cultural Día de las Tradiciones Canarias dentro del Proyecto Cultural Pinolere, está ubicado en el Parque Etnográfico del mismo nombre, en La Orotava, ocupando una superficie de 3.000 metros cuadrados. Este espacio recrea diferentes aspectos del paisaje arquitectónico, agrícola, medioambiental y sociocultural de los vecinos de las medianías del Valle de La Orotava: eras, hornos, casas terreras de tejas, corrales, "pajares" -casas pajizas-, huerto de plantas medicinales. estructurado en dos áreas temáticas bien diferenciadas y con un nexo en común, su propio entorno, el Paraje Natural Integral de Pinolere.

Located in back of the La Orotava town hall, the Hijuela del Botánico is a romantic garden (4.000 sq.m) created in 1788 by the 6th Marquis of Villanueva del Prado.

Of interest for the variety of palms, bromeliads, arums and mulberries (moracea) as well as trees notable for their size, age, beauty or remote origins.

The Garden, as a scientific institution, engages in international seed exchanges, maintains a herbarium especially dedicated to the flora and vegetation of the archipelago.

It was declared a Historic Garden on July 29th, 1994.

El Loro Park offers a new concept in zoos as well as many other attractions. The largest collection of parrots in the world within its 120,000 sq.m grounds.

Shows featuring dolphins and sea lions, one of Europe's largest aquariums, a bat cave, an orchid house, and a penguin house with 200 residents in an environment reproducing their natural habitat in the South Pole.

This is a tropical garden with a covered enclosure where almost 100 species of butterflies from every continent can fly freely while the visitor enjoys them in this natural setting.

The main attraction in Icod de Los Vinos is the world famous 'Millennium Dragon Tree' (Drago Milenario) and one of the Canary's most important natural symbols of its culture and history.

The dragon tree (Dracaena Draco Canariensis) considered the oldest in the archipelago, (its real age has been put at 800 years), measures 17 metres high with a base circumference of some 20 metres.

Especially educational for the visitor is the garden that surrounds the tree with native plants including little dragon trees, thistles, spurges, etc.

The church plaza nearby contains other botanical species labelled for easier identification.

At more than 200 years of age, this is the oldest garden in Tenerife and part of a private mansion that dates back to 1730.

The owners have decided to open their magic garden to the public to share its marvels such as the large collection of the orchids of Tenerife and the oldest and largest dragon tree in Puerto de la Cruz.
